But lets be serious, many multiplayer matches don't drag out very long because people tend to leave. You have the best invading fleets in the game but you will need to make use of them because in straight up battles you will usually be a bit worse. If you get a lot of industry minors spliced you can easily produce a lot of ships. On the other hand if you get a ton of species spliced, especially like Gnashast your will have systems which are a nightmare to invade for other players. If you don't get many minors it can feel very weak. It can be good IF you get to assimilate good minors, but Lumeris are you worst enemy when it comes to assimilating minors. Horatio: My favourite faction, I spend a ton of time min/maxing and learning this one in and out.

I can see their potential but its too hard to gauge to give a good opinion. That being said their ships have tons of weapon slots and they can build a lot of ships quickly. I always think they are bad because their terraforming is bad and their manpower output is bad in the early game aswell, so they are easy to invade. Riftborn: I haven't seen many Riftborn in multiplayer and I don't play them myself. They get the best system improvements, they get strong colonization, they get teleport which is game breaking. Vaulters: Not much to say other than every time you look at the score, Vaulters are near the top. I have seen a Lumeris player dominate in multiplayer, they have a lot of potential if played correctly. Lumeris: I don't play Lumeris at all, but they have strong early ships and can assimilate minors super quickly and right now assimilating minors is extremely strong.

The political rework balance mod changes their questline so that Sheredyn and staying United Empire is a viable choice now instead of Mezari only. UE: As a UE player myself, I can say that they are absoultely playable and can become very strong. Sophons: I haven't seen Sophons played a lot, I don't think they are very strong currently because the huge amount of science in itself doesn't do alot without enough production. Multiplayer is very different, so I can give an opinion but its probably biased: I have played a ton vs AI but only a handful multiplayer games.

Very hard to do and neccesary balance mods change up balance a lot, for example the Vodyani rework mod completely revamps Vodyani, the combat rebalance makes pretty much all weapons viable instead of only lasers and the neccesary political rework makes changes to put all political systems somewhat more balanced (though in its current state Federation is #1) with maybe dictatorship being 2nd best thanks to political rework.
